FAMILIES LIVING VIOLENCE FREE

The butterfly is a symbol for freedom and flight – but the transformation into the butterfly is the result of a much longer journey. To be able to fly, the butterfly must undergo a process of struggle – to break free from the confines of the cocoon and to strengthen its wings.
Families Living Violence Free is here to help victims of domestic violence and sexual assault through this struggle for freedom and courage by providing the tools needed to empower them in recognizing their self-worth and realizing their strength.
Families Living Violence Free is committed to combating and preventing domestic and sexual violence by providing advocacy, emergency and supportive services to victims and their families, and educating and involving the community in the process.
We receive and are reliant upon support from local sources: civic groups, religious groups, businesses, private citizens, and governments.
Our agency is a non-discriminatory, equal opportunity agency, governed by a dedicated volunteer board of directors. We are partially supported by, the North Carolina Council for Women, and the Governor’s Crime Commission and Granville County United Way. Governing documents, policies, and statements are available for public review upon request. Click here for our most recent Form 990.
